Last week, I set a goal:

Coach creators to get 1 million views in 1 week.

It scared me a little.

And honestly, I didn’t feel like I changed much in my coaching - I was telling creators the same thing every week.

But then something happened:

We got 5 million views total last week 🤯

I’m still in shock haha. So today, I thought I’d share my learnings…

What I tell every creator

1. Research your broad niche (i.e. fertility not IUI / IVF)

2. Find a video that did well (millions of views)

3. Revamp the hook

4. Post (and post to multiple platforms)

The video that got over 1 million views

“What do you mean XYZ almost killed you?”

This hook was inspired by a video we came across in our research.

The first time we posted it, it got 100k views on TikTok.

So we kept making tweaks. Same text hook, different visual hook.

Week by week, we:

• Tested the 2nd clip that came after the initial hook to see which clip performs best

• Checked retention graphs - when people dropped off after a specific section (i.e. getting an answer to the question posed by the hook), we moved that section towards the end

So the profile looked like it was a bunch of the same video, but we actually just made minor edits to the video once we got a signal it would perform (100k on TikTok → 2m+ on Instagram now).

Ways to research

1. TikTok search bar - see top performing videos and make sure view count is at least 5x the creator’s follow count so it’s a true outlier

2. Reddit - top-performing posts sorted by “all-time” and pay attention to the headlines used

3. Your own videos - test the hooks more
