short-form video cheat sheets

ngl i'm super proud of these - it makes things easier for you!

I had a podcast interview today and they asked me if there were any creators who inspired me.

I noticed the people who came to mind first were those who I could picture:

I saw their faces on video all the time.

And that’s why I believe every personal brand should have a strong video presence. Text-based content doesn’t really cut it anymore.

So…I made some cheat sheets to help you with creating short-form video.

These were created for my ADHD Content System program

Common mistake to avoid

The cheat sheets are a guide.

They’re meant to inspire you, not outline absolute rules.

I see a lot of people overcomplicating their videos.

Remember: the boring stuff goes in the email or YouTube video (long-form).

Your short-form video is to capture attention.

Example: newsletter brand

Instead of explaining how your newsletter can help, just show:

  1. The problem/context

  2. The transformation

  3. Call-to-action: subscribe for more

“POV you can’t stand awkward silences at networking events so you sign up for this newsletter…suddenly you’re the most interesting person in the room”

Notice how it doesn’t say how (boring, long part). It directs you to a platform with long-form content to build a relationship.

If you need more help crafting the best hooks for your video, just email me your niche and we can brainstorm :)

Til next Friday,

Jennifer
