Q3 financial report (full transparency)
plus projects I'm excited about rn
It’s already the end of Q3??
I’m not gonna lie, I feel like I got nothing done:
July was summer so I just hung out with friends all the time (being my own boss means giving myself unlimited days off lol)
August was moving to another country
September flew by (contract work + course launch)
Let’s look at my finances + social media growth for the real vibe check.
In the last 3 months, I grew 12.65k new followers across all platforms compared to the previous quarter.

Not great, considering I made 17 more posts than last quarter…

Let’s look at the content I posted:

My 12 skills in 12 months TikTok post blew up, which led to a huge influx in email subscribers (surprising bc I didn’t respond to any of the comments).
On Instagram, carousels performed better than reels.
When it comes to Instagram stories, I noticed that I get the most views when:
A lot of people replied to the story
I let the previous day’s story clear completely before posting a new one

I’m not even 100% sure of the numbers (well, nothing can be 100% accurate with marketing attribution),
But this is what my dashboard + agency said:

After this I did end up changing some things:
Put more call-to-action buttons in emails (increase clickthrough rate)
Put payment plan as default
Wrote abandoned cart emails
But tbh nothing spiked the revenue as much as when I had the price increase deadline for my course ($299 → $349).
Not even the deadline spike was as big lol (probably because most people took the payment plan bc I changed it to the default).

Revenue (23% decrease from last quarter)

Yearly revenue so far ($53,790.92 USD):
Q1: $16,753.91
Q2: $18,491.96
Q3: $14,183.16
This is just revenue only, though.
Every month I have these expenses:
YouTube editor/manager
My coach
Agency (for admin/analytics setup)
Software subscriptions
My margins are anywhere between 40% to 80%.
Except for that one month in Aug when I was -$11k net lol (tax payment time). Thankfully I learned from my tax crashout last year and set aside enough money for taxes this time.

Oh I also hit a $10k USD month this month (not bad considering it would’ve been more if ppl did full pay instead of payment plan) 🤩
Time spent (less time spent = less money duh)
Q2: 195.75 hours spent on my business (15 hours a week) - $18.5k
Q3: 192.75 hours spent on my business (14.8 hours a week) - $14k

Current projects
Creator Revenue accelerator
I take $3k if the content creators I coach make $10k+ from their courses.
Otherwise, I get nothing.
It’s been really fulfilling esp when one of the creators got her first sale 🫶
But not sure if I’d do this model again bc it means I take on all the risk.
I’m grateful I chose amazing creators to work with,
But this only works if both parties put in the work
(I can’t force someone to do something even though I message/encourage them as much as I can).
UGC community
I felt taken advantage of when I was an established creator but I was being paid $15-30 per video (contract work).
There were no other benefits/learning opportunities - I just had to post the vid and that’s it.
Tbh the only way I’d be okay with being paid $15-30 is if I was a beginner and I got connections/learning experiences out of it.
So now I’m working on a UGC creator community - it’s kinda like a course/program, but instead of paying $2k+, beginner creators can:
Join a community of likeminded, ambitious creators
Get structured guidance on what to post
Get personalized feedback on their videos from experienced creator coaches
Get experience working with a brand
Get paid $35 USD per video posted (has to be approved by brand)
Reply “UGC” if you’re interested (must be able to travel to US, but flexible).
Content pivot (maybe?)
I rly wanna post more business stuff on my main productivity/life tracking accounts.
Sometimes I get comments that I should stay in my niche tho cuz some ppl don’t care about the business/creator/entrepreneur side of things.
So I might pivot…we’ll see.
I really wanna help established ADHD content creators create products so they can get sustainable income to prepare for family planning though.
Reply if you have feedback/thoughts!
Okay ik this was a lot for an email (hopefully useful tho!) so goodbye for now <3
