learnings from coaching 200+ creators
and how it impacted my mindset on high ticket
2 weeks ago, I started training 200+ creators on UGC (user-generated content).
At the same time, I was helping some ADHD content creators launch their first course.
I noticed many parallels between people who were just starting UGC and influencers who already had 20k+ followers.
This led to so many hot takes…
Hot take 1: you don’t need to be an expert to charge $$$ and coach people
Okay before you get upset at me -
I’m not talking about scams or gurus who just share basic advice you can Google.
(If you’re reading this, you’re definitely not one of those people so dw.)
I noticed that many content creators I talk to are really talented:
Paid off 70k+ in debt in 3 years
Built a recognizable brand that got 18m+ views
Created systems to go from almost dying (medical issues) to feeling healthy + energetic again
Built + documented business and life systems (that’s me!)
But there’s always that voice at the back of our minds…
“It’s so obvious. Anyone could do this, why would people pay me for it?”
But the thing is, people don’t pay for the information (which you can find online anyway).
People pay for:
Your energy
Your personalized feedback
Your way of thinking
Your validation and encouragement
Like I definitely don’t think I’m an expert in ADHD, content creation, or marketing.
But I know I can help people…and sometimes that’s all you need to get started.

ik i posted this last week but this msg rly made my day 🥺
Hot take 2: most of your videos suck (and that’s good)
Honestly, some of my videos suck too.
That’s why not every video goes viral.
But that’s the beauty of it -
Every flopped video under 200 views gives you a chance to learn.
Here’s the biggest difference between beginner creators stuck 200 views for years
Compared to creators who seem to get millions of views every week.
I talked to a creator who had a 14m+ view video.
He had no clue how he did it.
But what he did know was this:
It’s about speed + repetition + refinement.
Meaning he just posted a lot quickly and improved with each post.
Because when you’re not as scared of having your work “suck,”
You’ll take action more.
Hot take 3: you’re not making progress because you’re not doing what’s scary
This is a callout for myself too.
Yesterday I talked to a creator who had half the amount of followers I did.
But she made triple the revenue I did - with way less offers than I had.
She didn’t even charge high ticket.
What she did do was focus on really dialling in on her messaging and positioning.
The same thing my coach had been pushing me to do - and I’d been putting off.
(In fact, I’ll probably do a big rebrand and things might change a lot…it’s scary.)
When this creator changed her branding, her revenue shot up: $60k in sales and consistent $10k months.
Last hot take: you don’t need more tips
Originally I was going to share content + business tips today -
The same tips I’ve been sharing every week during live coaching calls.
But recently, I’ve been asking more questions in calls than trying to give all the answers.
And I realized that most of the time, you already know what you need to do.
You just need to believe you can do it too.
And looking back, all the coaches I hired didn’t exactly tell me anything new.
But they were effective because they helped me believe in myself.
Going forward, I want to share more tangible transformation stories with you,
So you can be inspired and believe in yourself more too.
How was today's email? |
Til next week,
