how I made $14k in 2 weeks
my course launch strategy
2 years ago, I grew my work’s TikTok account to 50k.
I beat myself up over it, wishing I built my personal brand instead.
So I did, and grew my brand to 80k.

But then…1 year ago, I was laid off from my edtech marketing job.
I used to make $6k a month…
But when I launched my course, I made $6k in one day.
That was the first time I realized how powerful courses could be.
So today I’m walking you through exactly how I did my course launch.

Step 1: look through your email metrics
Which emails got the most opens?
Which had the most engagement (clicks, replies)?
This gave me early indicators of topics that resonated with my audience.
Step 2: list 4 problems
You’ll turn these into modules and assignments.
I narrow down the problems by hopping on calls with my audience.
Here’s an example of what I had for my life tracking course:
Step 2.5: start course promo
Around this time, I started sending emails asking for feedback.
This did 2 things:
Made sure I didn’t waste my time by validating the course topic
Let people know to expect a course, so they’d be ready to buy
Step 3: write your drafts
I turned each problem into a module with subtopics (lessons).
My video scripts for each lesson generally went like this:
Hook
Overview
Story + lessons
Summary/action items
Here’s a handy template I made:
Note: this is only for pre-recorded courses.
For live courses, I usually have slides or a bullet point list of things I want to cover.
Usually, I leave lots of time for Q&A.
Step 4: launch the course (with an enrollment deadline)
I only created 2 modules of the course before I launched.
When I launched, modules 3 and 4 weren’t ready yet.
I was only able to do this because:
I didn’t do pre-sales, but still wanted early validation
I did a cohort model - people could only access 1 week at a time
I could get feedback on the first 2 modules, so I know which changes to make in the last 2 modules to improve
On the day of the enrollment deadline, I doubled my course revenue.
Step 5: improve and scale
Every module had a feedback session so I could improve (and use testimonials in marketing).
The only thing I wish I did was build a back-end offer - a natural next step so people could continue learning.
But it’s never too late…so I’m launching a high-touch offer now.
If you’re an ADHD content creator, let’s talk
I’ll teach you the exact systems I used to make over $40k in my course.
We’ll brainstorm and launch your digital product together (bc I know the ADHD struggles haha. Easier to get exciting ideas when we yap).
If you don’t make $10k in 90 days of working together, I’ll work with you until you do.
If you:
Are sick of inconsistent revenue every month
Don’t want to keep relying on sponsors
Dislike boring admin work and just want to focus on creating fun stuff
Just reply “I’m in” and I’ll hop on a call with you to see if I can help :)
Til next week,
Jennifer
