Genius youtube QR code tip

From a $10m educator's webinar

In partnership with

Hit 1 million views on my YouTube Short today.

I almost thought that video would flop, but I guess YouTube takes a while to pick up the video. TikTok and Instagram hit 100k+ views right away, but YouTube took a week or so.

(I scheduled all my video posts at the same time using Metricool. Highly recommend!!)

So today I thought I’d share some YouTube must-knows I wish I knew before going viral.

Put QR codes in your videos

In Olly Richards’ webinar, he said 60% of people (in education niche) watched YouTube on TV.

So when you put the link in the description, people don’t always click it.

It’s better to put it as a QR code on screen.

When my Short went viral, all my other videos had a spike in views.

I wish I optimized those views because I didn’t have links in my video description, which means thousands of lost leads.

Here’s my new video description (copy paste-able Notion template below for premium subscribers).

Optimize your channel for conversions

People told me they found it really hard to find my products and support me.

I completely overhauled my channel because of this:

  • Added curated playlist to channel homepage

  • Longer, more specific description

  • Links to my other socials

Also wanted to celebrate a win with you 🥳

Life as an entrepreneur is hard - we all know that.

Just last week, I was looking up job postings thinking I need that monthly paycheck security…

But this week, I was reminded why I took this risk.

Why I wanted control over my own products,

Flexibility to take days off whenever I want,

And the freedom to choose who I want to work with.

I offered a Black Friday offer where I’d donate 10% of profits to UNRWA.

My audience loved it 🥺

Now I keep getting emails about Stripe payouts.

Hope this inspires you to keep working towards your goals too 🫶
