Insight: I went viral, but didn’t get as many course sales

It’s not necessarily about getting views…

But more about getting the right kind of views.

And how you convert them.

Recent viral videos (less conversion)

The CTA (call-to-action) led directly to the landing page of my course.

I hadn’t built enough trust yet…

The view-to-follow conversion rate was also below 0.5%.

Previous viral videos (better conversion)

The CTA led to email (lead magnet), where I had a weekly newsletter that built trust.

I didn’t sell much in the newsletter, so when I finally did…many people were ready to purchase right away.

Even the view-to-follow conversion rate was higher - mostly above 0.5%.

It might also be because these videos focused on education, not entertainment.

Insight: comments to sales conversion rate was higher

The best indicator of sales from my videos were number of comments.

The more comments I got, the more sales I made.

I assumed more saves (indicating my content is useful) = more sales, but it was comments that won…

It made sense though - each comment would trigger a DM automation that led directly to my offer.
