- about your accent
about your accent
and other insecurities
I got a message today - someone was concerned whether their accent was hurting their content growth.
Here’s my take on it…

“Should I do accent training?”
When I heard this, I felt curious…
So I asked a question:

They said no - their dream clients wouldn’t care about the accent.
So I told them to focus on what’s actually important:
Having fun and staying focused.
What actually matters
I’ve worked with a few clients now who were a bit self-conscious of their accent…
But what matters more is clarity
(Which even some native English speakers could improve on).
After months of experimenting, here’s what actually got us millions of views:
Hook testing (swapping out 1 change at a time, whether it’s text, audio, or visual hook)
Storytelling (building up suspense til the payoff)
Analyzing the data (retention graphs)

Example: ask 1 question to reframe your fears
Here’s another example of how a single question can reframe what you’re stuck on:
I’ve been feeling blocked with my content pivot for a few months.
Kept hiring coaches to tell me what to do (they can’t, it’s up to me and my business).
I wondered what I was insecure about…
Maybe competence?
I wanted to prove my value, so I kept hiding behind planning so everything was “perfect”
(But the planning got too overwhelming and complicated that I gave up lol.)
If I was really honest, I was scared people wouldn’t like me anymore if I posted about business more than productivity.
But I remember I put up a poll on my stories - and most people welcomed the change.
So the issue isn’t with others…it’s with me.
If I was coaching myself, I would ask this 1 question:
“When I’m on my deathbed, what will I regret most? Trying my best to pivot my business and then failing? Or not even trying, and never knowing how many lives I could impact?”
This question helped me focus on what was actually important:
Trying my best to make my dreams come true, instead of fearing others’ opinions of me.
So if you had to ask yourself 1 question to figure out how to get unstuck…
What would your answer be?
